Sherry McFerrin

Biography

Sherry McFerrin is a senior housing systems leader with over fifteen years of strategic experience in her previous role with the North Alabama Continuum of Care. As Director of Housing & Financial Literacy Programs and a HUD-Certified Housing Counselor, she has led high-impact initiatives that strengthen housing stability, expand financial empowerment, and improve service delivery for vulnerable populations.

Also, as a recognized authority in HMIS implementation in her prior role as HMIS Coordinator and Agency Trainer, Sherry provided executive-level training, data governance oversight, and organizational capacity development for agencies across the region. Her expertise includes HUD performance reporting, system-wide data quality management, and aligning program operations with federal compliance standards.

Throughout her career, Sherry has been regarded as a trusted collaborator, systems thinker, and operational strategist—consistently advancing cross-agency coordination, elevating program efficiency, and enhancing outcomes across the homelessness response and housing stability ecosystem.
